Week 9: Art Week!

Wow, what a fantastic week this has been! Children have had so much fun learning about the jungle and create jungle related art projects. Art was really at the center of our learning this week!

In English, we reviewed all sounds learnt this year, as well as all Tricky Words. Children impressed us as they could remember lots even after the week-long holiday! We also completed a writing activity linked to a craft. Children created jungle scene collages and hid jungle animals in them. They then wrote about their hidden animals.

In Maths we began to learn everyday language related to money. Children learnt phrases such as 'How much?' and 'I would like this please.' On Friday we went on a trip to the tuck shop and bought snacks with our very own money! What an exciting trip that was!

We now have new Interactive Touch Screens in all Early Years classrooms and it is such a brilliant resource! Children are exploring the equipment and this week they have practised their reading and writing skills on the screens.

We are also practising our dance for Loy Krathong, this will be another great event for our school community!

Take a look at our Facebook and Twitter pages, you should see us there as well!
